For the collection of the metrics, data security purposes and the determination of cases of abuse, the following are logged the provider the domain name and IP address of your computer, the file request of the client (file name and URL), the http response code and the website, from which you are visiting us. We reserve the right to carry out statistical evaluation of anonymous metrics.
The storage of the data takes place for security reasons, e.g. to be able to clear up cases of abuse. If data has to be stored for reasons of evidence, it will not be deleted until the incident has been finally clarified.
This website contains NO links to social media networks (such as Facebook, Google, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Xing or LinkedIn).
A session is used to store necessary data during participation. Data is stored temporarily and deleted after a session has ended. To determine whether a survey has already been taken, a generic code is stored in the session. The code is anonymous and has no personal reference. A one-time code of an email invitation cannot be mapped to an email address later. The used codes are stored for the duration of the survey and are discarded afterwards. In addition, the session is used to store passwords and to ensure that the surveys are kept up-to-date.
In principle, all survey data is deleted at the latest 90 days after the creation of a survey. In addition, surveys can be deleted earlier due to a shorter time period set by the creator.
The creator also has the possibility to delete a survey manually at any time.
We use the IP address of users to compare them against a whitelist and to check access rights to this website. The IP address is not used to trace this to the name of the user or to to map the respective end devices. The IP addresses are not saved.
We continue to process email addresses when they are provided to send survey metadata to the creator and survey invitations to participants. If an email for a survey invitation is not sent and only in this case, the email is stored in the associated error message like all other survey data for a maximum of 90 days and then deleted (does not affect the email with the survey metadata, it is not stored in case of an error). The addresses will be deleted after successful sending and will not be forwarded or used for advertising purposes before.
The entered data of a poll is only stored as long as the maximum storage time set by the admin for the poll. As mentioned above, the maximum storage period is 90 days. After this time the data of a poll will be deleted.
For the exact use of the admin functions or storage of survey results, we refer to the FAQ and the numerous help pages that help with using the application.
We do not log usage behaviour, neither for the placement of advertising nor for the transfer to third parties. Our interest in analysing the number of users of the website is purely for scaling purposes and serves to monitor the load on our application. These analyses are anonymous.
Furthermore, the following are not created:
It is possible to create surveys with a participation password. No additional data is collected or stored with the answers, the answers remain will continue to be anonymous. In this case, however, the answers are additionally encrypted and can only be accessed by the creator and the participants using the participation password can be decrypted and read. It is also not possible for the operators of Vote to read data encrypted with a participation password in plain text. This is our highest possible security setting.
